It's a bit of a pig but the top and back come off as one, but if you've got audio 3.5mm socket in storage compartment pop that out and there's enough on the cable to unclip old usb socket and replace with new one. I've tried getting mine to work, but I've not succeeded yet!!
The fuse is a blue mini-blade (not the regular larger bladed fuses) 15 amp fuse. Pull out with needle nose pliers or the plastic extractor which is stored inside the end panel of the dashboard fusebox. 6. Check fuse visually (usually can see break/overheating signs).

I have a 2023 Volvo XB60. It came on and told me there was a problem - tire low pressure etc. THEN 2 weeks later Critical 12 V battery issue. I called for a service appointment then to Dec 22nd. I said the car is only 6 months old. Went to another dealer. I've attached a photo of the 12V socket that is mounted to the cupholder. There are two male blade ends that come out of the socket, as seen in the photo I've attached, meaning the connector to the wiring on the opposite end is a female connector. It should work in theory on the XC60, but what the wire looks like, the location, etc. may Electrical sockets. Updated 11/17/2023.
